The scope of work for this project involved identifying and removing access barriers as part of DGS’s Access Barrier Removal Program (ABRP). The purpose of this program is to improve access to DGS owned office buildings for people with disabilities. The scope affected a small portion of the building’s overall 127,010sf.
Scope also included providing new accessible concrete walkways and modifying sections of existing walkway with compliant scope. Providing new accessible ramps and modifying existing ramp landings. New accessible interior path-of-travel, drinking fountains, ADA signage and accessible washroom elements.
